How Readers Use Kindle Vella
What is Kindle Vella?
It is a reading platform Amazon created to connect readers and authors. The authors write serialized fiction. (This is a fancy term for episodes.) Readers are able to enjoy an episode at a time and follow their favorite stories. Instead of buying an entire book, readers get to sample 10 free episodes and later buy tokens from Amazon to keep reading. The cost of an episode is 10 tokens which amounts to about 10 cents.
Requirements:
How to find the stories:
* Go to an author's link tree and store this link on your computer or phone for all the latest episodes of the writer's stories. Here's mine Ellen Y. Mueller's Link Tree
What are the advantages of Kindle Vella?
* The first 10 episodes are always free. If the story doesn't interest you, move on to a different one and read another 10 episodes.
* It's a great way to discover new stories without buying a whole book on the spot.
* Authors interact with readers when readers leave comment. Many authors have fun polls to answer at the end of an episode.
* Tokens are inexpensive and sold by different size packs depending on how many you want to buy.
* The Kindle Vella link up above has a variety of genre in one location for readers to browse.
* A long vella costs approximately the same as a novel. Short vellas might be completely free to read.
